Yusuke Akamatsu Holds Solo Exhibition in Cap Ferrat, Southern France; Vatican-Signed Works Draw Attention.

From July 18 to 20, 2025, Japanese artist Yusuke Akamatsu held a solo exhibition at CUPFERRA in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, near Nice in southern France.

The three-day event showcased a carefully curated selection of Akamatsu’s recent signature works. Among them, pieces bearing official Vatican signatures attracted particular attention, drawing many visitors to pause and engage deeply with the art.

More than just an art display, the exhibition became a venue for international cultural exchange. Distinguished guests—including the mayor of Cap Ferrat, a Saudi Arabian prince, and the Tunisian ambassador—were in attendance, creating a unique atmosphere where vibrant energy and quiet contemplation coexisted as attendees reflected on the works.

Media coverage extended beyond the local French press to include cultural outlets from Italy, Tunisia, and even Vatican-affiliated organizations. Photos of the exhibition space and selected works are available online.

Akamatsu himself addressed the audience, sharing insights into the inspiration and creative process behind his pieces. The event opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and visitors listened intently to the artist’s speech—underscoring the exhibition’s role as a powerful reminder of the importance of cultural dialogue through art.
